Sunday Services - 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
The Pastor of every Christian Science church is the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Two member-elected Readers present a sermon from these books on a weekly subject. The same sermon is read at all Christian Science services around the world and provides spiritual ideas "uncontaminated by human hypotheses." Services also include silent and audible prayer, piano selections, a soloist, and hymn-singing.
Wednesday Open Microphone - 7:00 PM
Christian Science churches have been conducting open mic nights since before there were microphones! We refer to them as testimony meetings. These public, informal gatherings combine brief readings from our pastor, hymns and prayer. About half the hour-long service is open mic, when those attending speak of new spiritual insights, share inspiration, report healings that have come about through prayer, and give thanks. It's a time for spontaneous sharing, thanksgiving, and mutual support.
We prefer that you actually come to church! Sometimes that is not possible and we would rather have you as a virtual attendee than not at all! To facilitate attendance, you can dial into a conference call about 5 minutes before the Sunday and Wednesday services and listen to the service. On Wednesday evenings, conference call participants can join share during open mic . You can also join us via your telephone, computer, tablet or smart phone. Click on button above for instructions
Sunday School - 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Young people up to the age of 20 meet weekly with teachers well-versed in the Bible and Science and Health. Students and teachers study Bible stories, learn the Beatitudes, the Ten Commandments, and talk about Jesus' life. The older students learn the essential elements of Christian living, ask those hard life-questions, develop a clear moral compass, and find ways to apply spiritual principles to the situations they face at school and at home.
A staffed children's room is provided both Sunday and Wednesday for children too young for Sunday School.
